Manufactured
Housing must be installed to the provisions of the California Building
Standards Code (Title 24 - Manufactured Home Installation) applicable
to the
Occupancy Group, and any other requirements in the HSC, Part 1.5, known
as the State
Housing Law.
Who
does the installation?
Anyone who is licensed by the State Contractor's Licensing Board, to construct
conventional housing, may install manufactured housing, but we highly
recommend you
use one of our qualified and competent set up contractors. We can either
give you an
in-house installation quote, or you may request for a list of "Fleetwood
preferred" set up
contractors.
Inspections
HSC 19992 requires the Local Enforcement Agency (City Building Dept's.)
to inspect the
installation of factory built housing. Title 25 of the California Codes
and Regulations
requires the installer to provide the Local Enforcement Agency with one
complete set of
plans by the manufacturer, approved by HCD or the HUD Design Approval
Agency, for use
during the issuance of the permit and installation inspection.
